The gathering was attended by several key party figures, including retired official Abdul Majeed Padder, Chief Coordinator Lateef Ahmad, Kulgam Vice President, and Constituency President Engineer Aqib Shafi, along with numerous workers and supporters.
Speaking to reporters, Abdul Majeed Padder stated that the party has already appointed block- and constituency-level leaders based on public backing. He emphasized that the party is fully geared up for the upcoming elections and intends to contest independently, ruling out any alliances. He also appealed to voters to support the party’s candidates to enhance governance at the grassroots level.
During the event, Engineer Aqib Shafi criticized the current administration, accusing it of failing to deliver on its promises to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He specifically targeted the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, alleging that commitments such as providing free gas cylinders and electricity have not been fulfilled.
The convention concluded with party leaders reaffirming their dedication to strengthening the organization and working toward public welfare across the Kulgam district.
