Ram Navami Celebrated with Devotion in Anantnag; DC Joins Festivities

Anantnag, March 26:
The festival of Ram Navami was observed with great devotion and enthusiasm across Anantnag district, with major celebrations held at Nagdandi Ashram and Raghunath Mandir.
A significant number of devotees, particularly from the Kashmiri Pandit community, gathered at these religious sites to offer prayers and perform rituals marking the sacred occasion.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, visited both locations and extended his greetings to the devotees. Accompanied by senior officials, he also participated in the celebrations and interacted with the community members.
During his visit, the DC highlighted the importance of these religious places as symbols of communal harmony and shared cultural heritage. He appreciated the spirit of unity among people and encouraged the preservation of traditional values and heritage.
He also reviewed the arrangements made for the occasion and directed concerned departments to ensure smooth facilities for devotees.
The devotees, in turn, appreciated the efforts of the district administration in facilitating the celebrations.
