Mission YUVA: 393 Loan Cases Approved in Anantnag | Safar Kashmir News

The District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) under Mission YUVA approved 393 new cases to support self-employment in Anantnag district. The decision was taken during the 27th meeting held at the DC Office, chaired by the District Development Commissioner (DDC) Anantnag, Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat.
The meeting was attended by officials from various departments including the Additional District Development Commissioner, General Manager DIC, Assistant Director Employment, District Social Welfare Officer, District Lead Bank Manager, JKEDI representatives and other concerned officers from banks and institutions.
Out of the approved cases, 185 belong to the retail sector, 59 to transport, 54 to the service sector, and 28 to agriculture and allied activities, while the remaining cases relate to other small business ventures. These initiatives aim to create more employment opportunities for the youth in the district.
With the approval of these new cases, the total number of approved cases under Mission YUVA in Anantnag has reached 5,904. So far, 2,270 beneficiaries have already received bank loans to start their businesses.
Officials also highlighted that 27.5 percent of the applications were submitted by women, showing growing interest among women in starting their own businesses.
During the meeting, the DDC directed concerned departments and banks to speed up the processing of loan cases and provide necessary assistance to applicants so that they can benefit from the Mission YUVA scheme. He also stressed better coordination between banks and government departments for smooth implementation of the program.
The committee reaffirmed its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship, encouraging self-reliance, and creating sustainable employment opportunities for youth in the district through Mission YUVA.
