drug peddling, district authorities today retrieved property illegally acquired by a drug peddler in Arreh area of Kulgam.
The accused, Irfan Ahmed Raina, son of Mushtaq Ahmed Raina, resident of Mohammadpora, Arreh, Kulgam, is involved in FIR No. 34/2025 under sections 8/21 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Kulgam and is presently lodged at Mattan Jail.
The retrieved property is located at village Mohammadpora, Arreh, Kulgam and comprises orchard land measuring 1 Kanal and 3 Marlas under Survey No. 887 in Estate Arreh.
The retrieval action was carried out by Police Kulgam, Tehsildar Kulgam, and other revenue officials.
Officials stated that the property has been taken into possession following due legal procedures under the law as part of ongoing efforts to curb the drug menace in the district.
