Sopore Police Warns Netizens Against Sharing Misleading Content

Sopore Police, in coordination with the Media Centre PHQ J&K Police, has issued a public advisory urging citizens to act responsibly on social media and refrain from sharing provocative or unverified content.
In a recent statement released today, the police cautioned that the spread of misleading information online can disrupt public order and create unnecessary panic. The advisory emphasized that users should verify facts before sharing any content, especially during sensitive situations.

Authorities further stated that the Cyber Police is closely monitoring online activity to identify individuals or groups involved in spreading false or inflammatory information.

“Strict action will be taken against those found violating the law,” the statement read, underlining the seriousness of the warning.
The message, accompanied by a “Think Before You Share” campaign graphic, highlights the growing concern over misinformation on digital platforms and its potential impact on peace and stability in the region.

Police officials have appealed to the public to cooperate by using social media responsibly and contributing to maintaining harmony.
