Kulgam, J&K: A plantation drive combined with an anti-drug awareness initiative was successfully organized by Reecha Organization in collaboration with the Forest Division Kulgam under the banner of “Nasha Mukt Bharat.”
The program was held at the Forest Office in Kulgam, where participants took a pledge to abstain from drug use and to actively contribute to environmental conservation through afforestation. The event aimed to promote both a drug-free society and ecological responsibility.
The drive was conducted under the supervision of Range Officer Kulgam Fayaz Ahmad Mir and SHO Kulgam, Khushab Michael. Members of Recha Organization, along with officials and local participants, took part in planting saplings within the forest office premises before proceeding to Malwan, Kulgam, where additional trees were planted.
During the event, speakers addressed the growing concern of drug abuse, emphasizing its harmful impact on individuals and society. They highlighted the importance of awareness, community involvement, and preventive measures to combat the issue effectively.
Organizers stated that such initiatives play a vital role in fostering social responsibility and environmental stewardship among citizens. The program concluded with a collective commitment from attendees to work towards a healthier, drug-free community and a greener environment.
