Acting swiftly on the information, a police team from Police Post Sadipora reached the location and discovered poppy cultivation on the land belonging to an individual identified as Mohd Ayoub Thoker son of Ab Ahad Thoker a resident of Pudsoo. The illegal crop was destroyed on the spot. Subsequently, Case FIR No. 27/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Heerpora.
J&K Police reaffirmed its firm commitment to eradicating the drug menace and urged the public to cooperate by sharing any information related to drug abuse or illegal cultivation.
